Tiered Performance Risers

Megadeck was at the AFL round one Sydney derby when the Giants hosted the Sydney Swans at Accor stadium on March 19. We were there in the form of a cleverly crafted, tiered performance riser that provided a secure platform for the half-time entertainment.

The performance stage was constructed over a section of the existing multi-level seating at the stadium. It was necessary to ensure the platform was completely level for stability and for the safety of the performers and those seated in the surrounding areas. The performance area extended over several elevations which was taken into account when creating it. Precise measurements were taken from all angles to ensure a high level of stability was achieved in the stage design.

This installation required different leg heights for each of the levels to be straddled.
Our extensive inventory of stage legs in varying lengths enables us to reach any height necessary for our staging. Using a combination of different leg lengths makes creating a level stage over existing tiered seating easily achievable.

The stage top was finished in black carpet which provides the best surface for musicians. Handrails were placed around the platform to provide additional safety and a discreet black skirting was secured around all sides. Hidden behind the skirting was a combination of horizontal and cross bracing to provide extra support and ensure the stability of the performance area.

Aussie favourites and ARIA award winners Hoodoo Gurus wowed the crowd at half time from the strategically placed Megadeck performance stage. Our versatile tiered risers are ideal for this type of scenario, where staging is required to be installed over existing multiple level seating.

Megadeck staging can work over or around almost any existing fixture or obstacle to provide a fully functional, stable and completely safe performance stage.
