Megadeck were extremely fortunate to be able to support the ozharvest ceo cookoff, an event to help eliminate hunger and food waste in Australia.
The annual event was held at the cutaway at Barangaroo, circular quay and attracted a huge turnout. Droves of people came to support the amazing work OzHarvest contributes to the community each and every day, while Megadeck were only too happy to help provide staging solutions for the Sydney event. Altogether, an astonishing $1,639,310 of funds was raised, with over 1000 people fed, thanks to the assistance of over 150 volunteers.
When a community-based organisation provides so much assistance to those in need, their tireless contributions go towards sustaining the projects that help so many. Any event of this calibre requires a staggering amount of behind the scenes work, and it all comes at a cost which can often put restrictions on a fundraising events capacities.
